# How to Create & Use a Thread

## Learn how to create and use a Thread - a structured conversation space where messages, updates, and references related to a single topic are organized in sequence to preserve context over time.

1. Follow the instructions for [How to Create a Group Chat](https://help.crownsterling.io/knowledge/how-to-create-a-chat?hsLang=en). 
2. Once you get to the page for naming your group, you have the option to **Allow Threads. **

3. Select **who** is able to post messages and **save**.

4. To comment on a post inside a Thread, right click (desktop) or click and hold (mobile) on the message. Select **comment**.

5. This will open up the Thread and show all comments already made.
