- Can I use the app on multiple devices?
- Yes, ORION Messenger can be used on desktop, mobile and tablets.
- Why can't I find ORION Messenger in the App Store?
- ORION Messenger is a progressive web application (PWA). With that, it is not listed in the App or Google Play Store. It can be accessed through any web browser. If you would like to save it to your desktop or mobile home screen, please go to your account settings. Click here to learn how to install.
Privacy and Security:
- What privacy settings are available?
- In-app privacy settings are still being refined. However, we will never harvest your data or sell it to any data brokers. Your data is and always will be yours.
- How does ORION Messenger ensure the security of my personal data?
- ORION employs quantum-secure end-to-end encryption across all its platforms. In ORION Messenger we currently use the CRYSTALS-Kyber post-quantum algorithm as well as the traditional encryption algorithm x25519DH for asymmetric cryptography. Additionally, we use AES256 for symmetric cryptography. Our approach ensures that your data remains secure and inaccessible to all but the sender and anticipated recipients. Read more in our Lite Paper.
- What makes ORION Messenger's encryption future-proof?
- We focus on implementing encryption that isn't just secure against current threats but is also prepared for future challenges, such as those posed by quantum computing. Unlike traditional encryption solutions, ORION's post-quantum cryptographic practices and algorithms are specifically designed to withstand quantum computer attacks, ensuring long-term data protection.
